Mirador Interactive Museum contacted our multi-touch team (Jacob Bustamante, Juan Paulo Madriaza and me - José Concha ) to design a table for multiple and simultaneous users to form part of the new room dedicated to earthquakes called “Y se mueve …“ (" And it moves ...”)
A challenge at all levels for a multidisciplinary team.
For the development of this project we form a team formed with archeologists, geologists and teachers, so this panel of specialists made the decisions of content that the multi-touch device showed. Our task was to transform usable interfaces which until then were only unstructured content.
Months of work to be at the level of the best museums in the world
For the development of this project we had nearly a year of preparation where we had the opportunity to conduct extensive observation of users, interviews and surveys which gave us valuable data to structure the particular characteristics of the users of the Interactive Museum. At the same time deliverables allowed to optimize how the expert panel made the information flow towards the design team, which ultimately facilitated greatly decision making and consensus among everyone involved in the project.
Prototype sessions
The debug and optimization process resulted in a flawless performance table and an experience
that it is up to the best museums of the world.
