Singapore Zoo Resident
Special Exhibition invitation
A conceptual special exhibition for the Singapore Zoo, raising awareness for the Hornbill family (Bucerotiformes) in Singapore through birdhouse art. With the premier exhibition taking place in the Zoo, my brief was to conceptualise a brand identity for the exhibit, featuring a custom logotype, posters, collaterals, a special invitation card and envelope to add an interactive and tactile experience. My design approach was focused on modular grids with dense visuals of housing for hornbills to create a sensational pattern like design. The invitation card features sensual textured papers, meticulous typography and craft to bring out the concept of urban living for hornbills. With a strong vibrant character, the unique identity is a strong brand expression of the Singapore Zoo. This project shows how graphic design can deliver meaningful tactile experiences in the digital age.
