The Urban Dwelling project is sited on 69 Murray street Perth, WA. It stands as part of a design precinct called the Murray Collective. The projects intent is to bring people to collaborate and interact within a residential setting. Ultimately this will foster a better collective well-being amongst inhabitants and visitors of the precinct. The aims to do so through integration of play in peoples day to day life. Spaces to provide these opportunities include a communal coffee kitchen, workshop, a rooftop garden and different moments of engagement throughout. Within the apartments, spaces for gathering are emphasised through a strong emphasis on being hybrid and adaptable which was a key criteria outlined in the research. The integration of the building to the precinct and urban fabric, drives open engagement and conversation to develop a greater collective well-being for the people of Perth.
