Danielle Evans's inaugural NFT collection.

Maladroit is a one-handed series that explores artistic fluency and resilience after breaking a dominant hand in a foreign land. As an artist, this is a waking nightmare, one I determined to make an opportunity. Literally Maladroit is French for "bad right," for centuries applied to the left handed and the clumsy, its metaphorical definition. Years of precision halted with a snap. What is left but freedom?

The Details: This is a limited series of 9 videos, composed of 9-26 individual photos and built in analog with one hand. No retouching. Shot shakily on iPhone in natural light. Made with care by hand at Marmalade Bleue.
