DesTer-P3 is the result of my final degree project. It is a Peltier plate dehumidifier designed to adapt the relative humidity of homes to healthier conditions. Its automated system, ease of use and refined aesthetics allow it to be used in any type of room and at any time of the day (without acoustic disturbance).
The objective of this project was to optimize the efficiency of water condensation by varying the orientation of the Peltier plates with respect to the usual configurations already on the market, thus eliminating the most common problems of performance loss.
The dehumidification system (thermoelectric and aerodynamic system), the electrical system with its respective operation map and the dehumidifier body were completely designed.
The ergonomics and inclusiveness of the product were also analyzed and studied, and priority was given to the repairability and ease of replacement of electrical components, as well as a selection of resistant and recyclable materials, thus seeking to extend the product's end of life and reduce its environmental impact.
The replaceable and washable air filter prevents bacteria and cleans the air before it is expelled out of the appliance.
It also contains safety systems (sensors) to prevent overheating of the electrical components and other elements, such as the floating lever, to detect when the tank is completely full.
