Visual Identity - David Sable



David Sable is the Non-Executive Chairman of VMLY&R and thought leader at WPP. He previously served as CEO of Y&R. An industry thought leader, David is a frequent contributor to LinkedIn and is often published in the Huffington Post. David aimed to create a memorable visual identity for him that could be extended to all the communication going out his channels and social accounts. He wanted his personality and character to reflect strongly in the visual identity.  
I started with brainstorming and identifying the key words that represent the David Sable brand and resonate strongly with his personality and messaging. After careful considerations and discussions we closed on the key words for the tone of voice - 
• Honest, Reliable, Relevant, Authentic & Personal
• I further delved into the color theory and locked onto an inspired-by-the-sea palette with a dash of yellow-pop for an "electric" effect. With these colors we aim to give a calm, reliable, professional vibe but at the same time we don't want to seem dated and be able to connect with the younger audience
• The imagery chosen must be inspirational, thought-provoking with a monotone treatment that helps create a unique identifier for the brand. 
• The graphic elements are derived form the logo initials - D&S and can be used in an effective and versatile way to help create a strong brand recall. 
• Usage of stamps with David's key phrases helps in 2 ways - creates a strong visual identity and gives a feeling of authenticity.
