About Daily Comb
Daily Comb is a Hunan based chinese e-commerce retail business specializes in hair tools made with natural materials.

The Objectives
Daily Comb’s costumers are mostly Gen-X. The majority of its packagings are made of non-recycle plastics. We are taking a spin on what would Daily Comb’s potential new eco friendly packaging looks like for future generation. The target audiences of this projects are people born in the 80s and 90s in China.
Modern Chinese Nostalgia
As the retro aesthetic taking over the design world, younger generations starts to look back on their childhood memories, select their favorite moments, and recreate them. You might remember old neighborhood’s shiny noodle shop signs, old world barber shop down the street, and your auntie’s favorite posters with pop stars from the 80s. The list goes on. Modern Chinese Nostalgia is a trendy direction that is beneficial for brands like Daily Combs, who uses chinese classical patterns in their branding. Since Daily Combs are in the transition to a younger market, we will appeal to chinese millennial/ Gen-Z taste. This would mean true to its roots, with brighter color and more modern touch.
Daily Comb’s hair-tools are made with aromatic wood. Sandalwood and Cherrywood are very common in their products. We chose the tree’s flower as visual identity for this line of products. Its shape is reminiscent of the round shapes of flowers.
Each product that made with different materials come with different color. For example, all Sandelwood packaging would be blue, and Cherrywood would be red.
