This diptyich explores an object and the enviroment in which it would be placed. In this case, the shoe of an ancient Persian noblewoman displays the wealth and luxury that she enjoyed in her life. Inspiration was taken from illuminated manuscripts, textiles and Islamic calligraphy as well as historical research on the fashion in the Persian Empire.
