The scientific work is devoted to the study of the ecological design in fashion industry, analyze and systematize knowledge’s in new topography. The author defines signification of: upcycling, freecycling, customization, and other meanings used in ecological design. This paper includes the following first-ever made topography of kinds of ecological design and reworking process of denim clods and items, the classification of trends, the adapted version of trends suggested by WGSN, the analytics of trends in denim and re-worked denim, it also systematize types of embroidery used in customization. This study aims to find new solution in upcycling of denim garment, which wouldn’t minimize damages caused on ecosystem.
This study show the perspective of denim and cotton recycling, they week points. In the scientific work were identified the main types of ways to reduce quantity of garment garbage. The research highlights the basic principles of upcycling, identifies the methods of the organization of this process and motivate for further research.
