C.H.Szembeka | Market Branding | Pictograms

Theme of the project was new brand identity for local forgotten markets in Warsaw. I choose part of C.H.Szembeka which is located in the Grochów district. Besides new logo i made pictograms for each department corresponding with the signet.
I had 2 ideas:

1)The duality of what the logo resembles is not accidential- scale and general’s hat
have something in common. The market has existed since 1944; the building is from early 90’- this type of scales is still quite common out here, while whole market and nearby squre takes its name from general Piotr Szembek, who lived in XVIII/XIX century.

Some time ago market athorities put new stalls all over first floor, what brings to mind outdoor market. It all looks clean and they seem to be proud of it so I used this characteristic element of wooden tile
This is the logo I choose
Each stall is marked on the map as a single tile "stolen" from the logo
