Scopophobia is a fear of being seen or observed by others, as well as a fear of drawing attention to oneself. In this series of nine images, I focus on the anonymous curves of my own body. I have been overweight for most of my life, and although I am not scopophibic, I feel that the fear is something I can relate to, as well as many others. Through this series I allow myself the be vulnerable to be seen, something many people such as myself struggle to do every day. When you are overweight you try to hide the curves, lumps and scars that come with being overweight. The aim is for the viewer to feel uncomfortable, the same way someone who is over weight or scopophobic might feel, and to try to find the beauty within the curves eventually.
