Disney Cruella - A Tale of Sweet Revenge
Plot and Overview

Again! Disney has astonished us by turning generic characters into crime comic fantasy. The murderous revenge-storied movie Cruella stars two Oscar winners, Emma Stone( as Estella Miller a.k.a Cruella) and Emma Thompson ( as Baroness).

Set in 1970s London, a toddler named Estella was born with unusual hair, half black and half white. She inherited a creative passion but an aggressive personality. Her mother notices that and mockingly names her Cruella.

No matter how hard she tried to be decent, almost every kid in her school bullied her. In one of the scenes, while defending her only friend, Anita Darling (Kirby Howell-Baptiste), she was hit by one of her classmates. But, she befriended a puppy and named it; Buddy. Due to repetitive mischievous and violent behavior, her mom Catherine had to withdraw her from school. For the best of her child, Catherine decided to move out from London and start her life afresh in a new city.

On her way, Catherine pulled her car at her former workplace, Hellman Hall, to seek assistance. While stepping out, she put her heirloom necklace around Estella's neck and ordered her to stay in the car. However, Buddy jumped out and entered the mansion, which forced Estella to go inside against her wish. After trespassing inside the mansion, three dalmatian dogs attacked them, which created chaos in the villa and caused her mother's death.

Poor Estella wimped and fled from that place as fast as she could, leaving behind her mother's last belonging, the necklace. She slept on a fountain, cursing her fate and believing that she was the reason for Catherine's death.

The next day she met two delinquent thieves, brothers Jasper(Joel Fry) and Horace( Paul Walter Hauser), who became her only friends. Growing up, she continued to pull off crimes with the brothers to support themselves for a living. But by heart, she still dreams about entering the fashion world, for which she was lunatic and passionate.

Jasper has a thing for her, and he somehow managed to get her inside the fashion industry. She was thrilled and was ready to take on any challenge. But her employer hired her to work as a janitor and never allowed her to display her fashion skills. However, one night after getting drunk, she changed the window display and dressed the mannequin as per her own style.

This incident changed her whole life! The next day, the London heiress, Baroness Von Hellman, stepped in the store and offered her a job. From this point onwards, Walt Disney has attractively portrayed how sparkling Estella had to become wicked-hearted, Cruella.
The Baroness: The New Villain in the Town
Our beloved mystical Professor Sybil Trelawny, from the series Harry Potter, is undoubtedly the epicentre of the film Cruella.

Walt Disney's villain, the Baroness, has stunned the audience with her immensely frightening and bossy nature. Her performance reminds us of Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) from the Devil Wears Prada movie, where the real Cruella had phantomized the audience, especially children.

Emma Thompson had awestruck the crowd with her wickedness and daunting performance. Her cold, soulless, and self-obsessed character made us confused, to really acknowledge the real Cruella.

Is Cruella good or bad? Baroness is an extraordinary and relatable fashion icon. We all agree that she is an awful person in some ways, but we adore her as our new villain.
ONE OF THE SCENES WHERE WE GOT JAW-DROPPED!
In one of the scenes, Estella is taking notes from the Baroness in her office. Suddenly, she got a glimpse of a red-pendant necklace, the same one she lost while running away from the mansion (in her childhood).

Estella was shocked and gathered the courage to ask the Baroness about her necklace. Onwards, Estella begins to feel pure hatred towards Baroness when she claimed it to be hers and said that her former employer (Catherine) tried to rob her and fell off a cliff in an accident.

Warning! Spoiler on is Way!

Estella learns that the Baroness, her fashion guru, was responsible for the death of Catherine. Driven by a desire for revenge, which might also be a desire for justice, Estella turns into Cruella and becomes a fashion star intending on dethroning the Baroness.

Heists and Operatic plot twists begin!

To defame the position of Baroness, Emma Stone aggressively trodden montage stages, negative publicity, and other wild public reveals of her twisted modern fashion line. She not only uses a motorcycle and a garbage truck for her fashionista entrances but goes as far as staging a punk rock fashion show right outside the Baroness event.

In the end, Cruella succeeds in taking her revenge, and Baroness ends up behind bars.
A Word for Emma Stone, A Sympathetic Villain!
Emma Stone left no stones unturned to captivate her audience with her charisma and flawless acting. Popularly known as the Spiderman ki Girlfriend in India, Emma Stone has remarkably proved her versatility with her Oscar nominating performance in The Favourites.

In this movie, Emma Stone has spontaneously given justice to her two main characters, Estella and Cruella. Estella, a street smart, humorous, and yet innocent-looking girl- who is ready to sacrifice her comfort to be a fashion designer. On the other hand, Cruella- a hot-headed, wicked, and crazy woman- desires to avenge against the Baroness and destroy her reputation.

In Cruella, Emma Stone portrays a role of a traumatized child. The circumstances arise around Estella, which are upsetting for a child who has lost her beloved mother. You will feel sympathy towards her justifying her villain character. She has a softer side and is not purely evil.
The Tale of Sweet Revenge & Massive Success
Director Craig Gillespie never fails to impress us with his classics and magnetic movies. After I Tonya, he brought us Cruella, which reminds us of Cruella de Vil, a film with action, crime, drama and hell lot of fashion! Disney has brought the comedy-crime prequel Cruella for our entertainment. Even if you do not follow this famed franchise, you will still be awestruck by the screenplay, actions, and fashion dilemmas.

However, the plot gets a little off track in the middle of the movie. But Emma Stone's acting pulls the strings of Devil Wears Prada and Harley Quinn characters-the enigmatic supervillains of the modern world!

The movie is entertaining, cheerful, and has a good ending.
