The Christmas Outreach Project is a program that I was approached to photograph on the 7th and 8th of December 2013.

The First Baptist Church of McConnell, a church that is known for its volunteer work within my community, asked me to photograph and demonstrate the process that goes into Christmas Outreach. My intention was clear from the beginning: show what hard work these volunteers put into this program and to visualize for viewers who are unaware what goes on. Multiple companies and organizations donate food and money to feed families who are in need during the Christmas holiday. Items like food, toys, toiletries, blankets, and much more are given to families who need assistance. Gifts are wrapped and given to families to put under the tree for their loved ones. 

I have the opportunity to share this program with you and for you to experience the challenges (no matter how great or small) that some face within our community. With this, I hope you have a better understanding and appreciation for the hard work that these men and women put into these programs to feed other families. Without them some would have less of a Christmas holiday to give to their families
