THE RUNAWAY
We are taught to follow the rules. We are taught to stay in line.
We are taught to stay polite, and somehow everything will be fine.
But as we grow, we will come to know the extent of cruelty this world can show.

The story of the runaway starts with a slave with the belief that there is something better out there. Beyond life on the plantation, beyond the repetitive tasks of daily life.
Something more fulfilling and meaningful. So he embarks on a journey.

"I heard of this railroad that ventures underground,
And takes my kind of people to a place that we can't be found..."
- Big KRIT

As a "Black Man" we often hear about this system, that is designed to keep us "down".
A trap that is set for us to fail, but is there is a way around it?
As a people can we escape the slave mentality that keeps us
repeating the cycles of the past.

“ It is certain, in any case, that ignorance, allied with power,
is the most ferocious enemy justice can have.”  - James Baldwin

When you decide to leave your full time jobs to pursue a passion it is seen as risky.
Some of us believe it is a much greater risk to trust this "work system" to provide for you for the rest of you life. Some of us have decided to runaway and chase our dreams.

“I had to make my own living and my own opportunity. But I made it! Don’t sit down and wait for the opportunities to come. Get up and make them.” – Madam C.J. Walker

We noticed a flaw in the system. We have found our underground
railroad to freedom. We have left the plantation.

“I discovered drops of blood on the corn as though it were dew from heaven.”
- Nat Turner.

BLK On Black
If we are willing to accept the terms of "Black on Black Crime".
Let us also be willing to accept the idea of
" Black on Black AID "
 "Black on Black SUPPORT"
& " Black on Black PROTECTION"

“If you wake up deciding what you want to give versus what you’re going to get,
you become a more successful person. In other words, if you want to make money,
you have to help someone else make money” – Russell Simmons
Let us arrive at "Black Excellence" with the support of each other.
Personal and business growth; making all efforts to succeed as a collective.

“We are all one - and if we don’t know it, we’ll learn it the hard way.”
- Bayard Rustin

Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.
- Harriet Tubman

“Never be limited by other people’s limited imaginations.”
