Sunset at Dümmer See
when you want to shoot stars after sunset you are sometimes rewarded by incredible sunsets. On one sunny late summer afternoon, I have set up to wait for the milky way to rise above the horizon at Dümmer See in Niedersachsen, Germany. In the end, the milky way ended up being only one of many photos taken.
As the sunset approaches, boats are slowly returning back to the marina
As the sun sets, the marina is almost deserted and one can walk the pier into the sunset
The wait is finally over and the stars are coming out. The galactic center is not very high above the horizon this late in the year but it is still breathtaking.
