A poster designed for a typography class. The aim of this exercise is to work mostly with the scheme of typography and express the quote and its hidden meanings using type and some minimal pictorial elements.

The quote is an extract from the classic novel Frankenstein by Mary Shelly. Within it a monster is created in the 1800s with the power of lightning and electricity.

The whole design of the poster reflects the mood of not just the quote but the book as whole with the mostly black and white color palette, the lightning in the background and the gothic yet modern blackletter font which was scrambled to mirror not just the physical but the mental state of the monster.
