‘Gong’ means translated ‘bow’. The shape and the material of this chair is inspired by Asian martial arts movies and traditional Asian clothing. A bow is characterised by flexibility and tension, this also applies to the Gong Chair, around whose curved metal frame a flexible fabric is stretched to create an ergonomic seat and backrest.
