Invention: A Life was a web design project that focussed on bringing James Dyson's latest autobiography to life. In August 2021, the book was published alongside this digital experience that expanded on James' life with additional video content and static imagery. The purpose of this experience was to provide people with an in-depth view into James' life and shine some light on his journey to this current day.
Chapter Nine: The Car page
My role in the project was to develop early concepts from another designer and devise a digital solution that ultimately provided the best user experience possible.
Through various rounds of testing and feedback, the decided route was to structure this experience as if it was a book and to allow the user to navigate through the journey whilst being told a story. Structuring the content into a timeline style with the chapters and providing easy navigation through each page was crucial in the success of this.
As the project was coming towards the final stages, I was responsible for walking James through the experience. A surreal moment in my career!
