THE NEW BEARS

Modern football helmet designs make players safer but is often difficult for placing team logos on the helmet's sides. As some teams have evolved their jerseys to accommodate advances in uniform templates, it is now time to do the same for the football helmet. Teams can no longer shoehorn traditional designs into a modern context those designs were never intended for. Rather than placing logos on the sides of helmets, teams now have to consider how they can design a helmet using unique color, texture, or patterns.

This reimagining of the Bears brand and uniforms is my attempt to push the identity towards new, future proof direction. To do that, the Bears can start with their pre-WWII past and the 1936 uniforms, full of colorful stripes from head to ankle. It's a uniform that provides a great foundation for a modern design and completely separates them from other NFL team identities.
