Обложка для книги в форме личного дневника, рассказывающей об избавлении автора от депрессии и начале пути к призванию. Среди пожеланий автора к оформлению обложки было сделать её скорее позитивной, так как в книге присутствует юмор над собой и надежда на чудо, а также не ограничивать аудиторию книги женщинами, выбирая сугубо женскую фигуру или образ как основной элемент дизайна.
Cover for a book in the form of a personal diary, telling about the author's deliverance from depression and the beginning of her path to a personal calling (that's why it's titled “Prizvana”, “Called” in Russian). Among the author's wishes for the design of the cover was to make it rather positive, since the book contains humor and hope for a miracle, and also not to limit the audience of the book to women, choosing a purely female figure or image as the main design element.
Подтекст моей идеи с имитацией слоёв бумаги или аппликации — слои жизни, души, открытие себя, «срывание слоёв». Надорванные края бумаги отсылают к тяжёлым переживаниям депрессии, часто связанным с ощущением внутренней «разрушенности». Однако я использую пастельные тона для смягчения этого эффекта, равно как и иллюстрации «от руки», которые, так же как и рукописный шрифт, соотносятся с формой личного дневника. По желанию автора приписка «[НЕ]депрессивной девушки» выделена, словно учительской красной пастой.
The subtext of my idea with imitation of paper layers or cutouts is layers of life, of one's soul, self-discovery, “tearing off the layers”. The torn edges of the paper refer to the painful experience of depression, often associated with a feeling of inner “destruction”. However, I use pastel colours to soften this effect, as well as doodle illustrations, which, like the handwritten font, correspond to the format of a personal diary. At the request of the author, the postscript «[НЕ]депрессивной девушки» (“[NOT] depressed girl”) is highlighted in red like corrected by a teacher.
