In Chile, the term "Caleta" refers to a place where fishermen live. Caleta Cifuncho is located 30 km south of the town of Tal Tal, in the Antofagasta Region.

It is a beautiful place in the middle of the desert, which has restaurants to eat local products and a beach suitable for swimming. It can be reached in any type of car. Although they have a desalination plant, it is advisable to bring your own water, also take external batteries because there is no electricity. Anyway the fishermen are self-sufficient with electricity with motors and can carry whatever you need, they are all very friendly.
