INTRODUCING STUDY

A studio principle we hold with high value is our belief in the magic of curious minds. This led us to branch out from some of our core projects as a studio, and launch a new subset of our company, Study. Our focus was to get uncomfortable, learn, test and understand new mediums. As we seek to nourish our growth, we are empowered to collaborate with inspiring creative talent from around the world. Learning from one and another with a mutual goal to have fun and experiment. Our efforts will create new paths of work and continue to push our abilities both for ourselves and for our partners. Through the end of the year, we will be sharing our studies big and small. With no expectation other than unlocking new practices that excite us and pure visual enjoyment.

In this first project, we collaborated with Bruno Canales, founder of visual lab Crea.st, to explore a series of 3D materials using Study as our form. The Tide had often showed up in our treatments and moodboards, and it was time for us to get to know the artist behind the work.

The iterations felt endlessly playful and explorative, testing new materials and expanding on their movements in our new world of curiosity.

THE DESIGN PROCESS

Working with Bruno meant uncovering a flurry of incredible ideas and play, so many of which didn't make their way into our finished form, but were eye candy throughout the process.
