A Glimpse into 2071 summarizes where I currently am as a designer. This project allowed me to showcase what I am capable off in terms of creation.

This branding was for a small event that was created as a graduation project showcase for UAEGLP's recent graduates. During their programmes they've worked on projects that aid the UAE's 2071 vision.
When I first started I was Imagining what was going through our forefathers minds when they celebrated the union of all the Emirates. What did the future look like to them? What will the uae look like 100 years from now (1971)?
The branding attempts to answer the question through the perspective of a 70s movie director who’s making a movie about “the UAE in the year 2071”
I took inspiration from some of the sci-fi movie posters made around the same time my fictional movie was being made. The poster on the right is our movie poster and the ones on the left are the inspirations.
Turbines, grids, webs and symbols for ground wires come together to form this miraculous machine.
I created the promo animation and sound effects which elevated the experience of the brand in my opinion. It's no longer event branding, it became a whole experience!
There are two versions of this, one is plain and was used for the screens. The second (which is the main version to me) was color corrected and had a layer of glitches to make it more VHS-y
