This is my proces of the assignment: Meet the Artist.

Meet the Artist: Meet the Artist is an assignment in which we drew ourselves, what our likes and dislikes are and items we use regularly.

Here you'll find my proces of this assignment.

The Base

With enough reference gathered i started sketching my final pose.

i chose this one because of how dynamic it is.

Then i started Sketching myself on top of the base i put down

And after the rough sketch i made my refined sketch, this is what i used as line-art.

I created a moodboard for the colour choices

I filled the different big shapes in with base colours for an easier process later on.

With the help of clipping masks i painted in the flat colours.

After i painted in the flat colours i started to map out the shadows and where the light comes from.

I worked a little longer on the shadows to create a little more depth

And here i filled in the darkest spots of the drawing

I just copied and pasted a room png into photoshop and blurred it to match the mood a little, it also helps to decide where your light sources come from.

So i painted the light from the background onto myself to match the picture to make it more as a whole.

And then it's finally time for the desk, i quickly painted in some colour just to see if i like it or not and worked from there.

I refined the things on my desk like the laptop and the cup

I added shadow to the objects and added a nintendo ds since i play on it a lot lately :)

And now it's finally time for the likes and dislikes, i painted my likes and dislikes in the form of nintendo switch game cases of which i thought was a fun idea, i like to game on the nintendo switch, the switch has great games :D
