Richard Hol's profile

From Turkish school kid to global app tycoon in 60s.

It was wonderful shooting this global brand film for HSBC in 2012 with Australian director Steve Rogers. He's consistently ranked as one of the most awarded directors in the world as part of the Gunn Report annual and it was easy to see why; cool, focused, a master at creating authentic emotions and situations. We filmed this story about a boy rising to global fame with an app he developed in his bedroom on location in Istanbul and London. Developing a video game character called Sticky Weasel, especially for the film, was a fun bonus.
