Shaken: Animated Short

A 30 second animation loosely based off the nursery rhyme "Row, Row, Row Your Boat".
This is a story of a little boy whose understanding of war is changed from a magical experience.
Geoff Dunn and I led this team of 7 talented animation students. Original story pitched by Quentin Holtz.
My main contributions in pre-production are storyboarding, camera layout, and timing. I contributed to the overall color scheme and mood.
In production my main contribution is in surfacing, fine tuning animations, revising model geometry, making blend shapes and deformations esp. assisting in rigging. For post-production my main contribution is sound and compositing (and matte paintings).

Framing and camera tracking. Painted mattes for the backgrounds.
One of the initial camera and animation layouts. Timing is also taken into account, as the animation could not exceed 30 seconds.
A snippet of the work that I did in the project.
Final Product! A semester's worth of hard work.
