Castello di Buttrio - 3D Photoshoot
Castello di Buttrio is an Italian winery. They needed a photoshoot of their bottles for their annual catalog.
Instead of a traditional shooting, we agreed on a virtual one, to give the project more flexibility and to make it future-proof. As a matter of fact, some wines are likely to stay in next years catalogs, therefore the only way to ensure a continuity between the photos was to set up a virtual stage which can be used for future photoshoots.
Once I obtained the name of the bottles' manufacturer, I proceeded with downloading their catalog and using the technical drawings to model 3D versions of the bottles, using Adobe Illustrator and IC3D, where I could apply a fill and various engravings and embossings to the glass.
From there I set up a virtual stage with Adobe Dimension, and after choosing the materials, the lighting and the camera settings, and applying the labels and capsules, I rendered the images.
After some minor tweaking in Adobe Photoshop, the final results were ready to be printed in the catalog.
