Young Migrant Women's Network By AkiDwa
Brief- The Young Migrant Women's Network, AdiDwa is a NGO working in Ireland to empower and work with young migrant women between the ages of 18-35 years. As a volunteer with the network, they wanted me to create their new logo, which needed to represent the migrant women coming to Ireland.
This logo needed to appeal to a young audience coming from diverse backgrounds and it needed to convey multiple emotions. To show a serious network, ready to tackle difficult topics and a network that was young, diverse and inclusive.
The idea behind the logo was to represent young women, so I decided to create a simple girls face that would transcend borders and just represent the feminine form.
She looks young, vibrant with the use of colours in the logo and fashionable with clever eyes. The client is based in Ireland so we used the most identifiable Irish symbol, the shamrock as her jeweler.
Brand Colours
I took inspiration from the Olympic flag, as the colours there represent the 5/7 Continents, This made the most sense to me. Also this logo is colourful and cheerful hence targeting a younger feminine audience.
Brand Font Selection
Brand in Action, with these being used for fund raising purposes
Hope this was enjoyable? If you are a migrant woman in Ireland please do not hesitate to follow this organization.
