Tradition and modernity do get along. This set of molcajetes made with basalt stone and Tzalam wood is the perfect combination for one to create delicious salsas and show them off.
Redesigning a common Mexican kitchen appliance, the combination of materials grants us an opportunity to place the product in showcase scenario while maintaining it’s already successful function.
The wood will also give the user a soft grasp, allowing it to be more user-friendly.
This project is part of a 10 piece collection, in collaboration of Ana Karen Solís, Beatriz Georgina Lamas, Alejandra Otero, and Rodrigo Gil.
