Screen printing was one of my favorite classes I have had the privilege to take thus far as a student at Tyler School of Art. I loved the blend of traditional and graphic mediums to produce hand done pieces.
Project 1: Final
For this project, I used the photo emulsion method to stain my silk screen marking the four main layers. After the primary layers were down and the screen was clean, I printed a few more using screen filler and added final details with pen and ink.
Project 2: Tangled
This project was my first go at the silk screen. I was nervous as it feels daunting before you begin. For this project, I experimented using screen filler and painting directly on the silk screen.
