This project was about visualizing and discovering letterform features and then arranging them into intriguing compositions. I used six different type faces and explored their qualities.
This is the typeface "Stempel Garamond Roman". I found this particular letter in this typeface rather slithery, like a snake because of the contrast between the line-weight from the start of the letter to the end. A natural and organic typeface.
This typeface is Bauer Bodoni Roman. This is a clean, natural, organic, and old typeface. Feels as if the typeface would be able to give you old but very wise advice
This high school sequel typeface is Rockwell Regular. Similar to the typeface you'd see on a letterman jacket. This typeface also feels a bit like a jock.
This typeface is Futura Medium. Doesn't feel all that futuristic, but it does feel similar to Helvetica. Also the horribly painful and torturous feeling of swallowing a too large chips piece and it scrapes your esophagus all the way down.
This common typeface is Helvetica, basic b-word of all typefaces. This typeface feels very professional, boring, and uptight. Probably smells like a pack of copy paper and an old, stale office.
This funky typeface is Platelet. Not all that common and feels very foreign, particularly with this letterform as it looks like an alien script.
