This project is about finding the significance of letterforms and discovering their personalities. The objectives were to create six interesting compositions out of six different fonts, each using a different letter.
The fonts available to us we’re Rockwell, Helvetica, Platelet, Bodoni, Garamond, and Futura.
This is Rockwell, it is vintage, streamlined, and gives off major farmhouse feelings. Rockwell is reminiscent of your grandma's country house. I can just tell that Rockwell is a morning person. I look at it and I can almost hear the rooster crow.
Here we have Helvetica. It has a modern flare while still being sophisticated and sensible. Like a nice pair of shoes you can wear to the office.
This quirky font is Platelet. With the odd and retro attitude I'd like to imagine that this font as a human would be a groovy person who is fun to be around, but also sassy and sarcastic.
Here we have Bodoni. It is classy, and a staple piece in anybody's font closet. I'd bet as a person Bodoni would be pretentious about all it's luxury bags and shoes.
Obviously, this timeless Garamond font would have an English accent. Or maybe it would be French. Either way, it's fancy and opulent.
While Futura is pointy, and buzzing. It's still a classic. Seems like that person you know who's old but tries to be cool.
