ABOUT
Peñalara is the highest mountain peak in the mountain range of Guadarrama, a subsection of Spain's larger Sistema Central mountain chain which lies at the center and divides the Iberian Peninsula. Straddling the provinces of Madrid and Segovia, Peñalara reaches a height of 2,428 metres above sea level.

In February 2020, before the start of quarantine restrictions, my friends and I went to Madrid - the most entrepreneurial and comfortable city in my life. So, contemplating the local landscapes, I decided that this beauty should be fixed in my memories, and not only photography but also creativity. As architecture.

У лютому 2020 року, ще до початку карантинних обмежень, я зі своїми друзями відправився у Мадрид — одне з найприємніших та найкомфортних міст у моєму житті. Проте, найбільше емоцій за всю поїздку залишила краса тутешніх гір, що були всього в годинній доступності від столиці Іспанії. Тож, споглядаючи місцеві краєвиди, я вирішив, що цю красу потрібно закріпити в своїх спогадах, і не тільки фотографіями, але й творчістю. Архітектурою.
CONCEPT
I worked on space for 6 months and for more than a year before that I kept the idea in my head. It all started with simple one - to emphasize nature with traditional materials and authentic forms. The design is not distracting, on the contrary, despite sharp and straight forms, it is the background and seems to say quietly: "Here nature rules the ball."

Над простором я працював 6 місяців і понад рік до цього тримав ідею в голові. Все почалось з простого — підкреслити природу такою яка вона є традиційними матеріалами та автентичними формами. Дизайн не відволікає, ба навпаки, попри свої гострі та прямі форми, є фоновим і ніби тихо промовляє: "Тут природа править балом".

The hotel is part of a tourist complex, which also includes a restaurant, SPA, a mountain observation deck and small technical rooms.

The townhouse consists of typical mirrored blocks, alternating 4 times. Planning is quite simple and concise. On the ground floor there is a living room with a fireplace, a kitchen and a bathroom, while on the attic there are two bedrooms and a shower.

Таунхаус складається з типових відзеркалених блоків, що чередуються між собою 4 рази. Планування досить просте та лаконічне. На першому поверсі розмістились гостинна з каміном, кухня та ванна, тоді як на мансардному - дві спальні та душова.
Neutral colors of warm wood and gray stone allow the eye to rest and relax the mind and soul. On the balcony you can spend the morning with a cup of coffee, and after intense hiking to soften in an easy chair with a glass of wine.
