Agrofuels, Monocultures and Territory in C. America

This short video documentary, describes some of the negative impacts that monoculture crops used as biofuels feedstock (mainly African Palm and Sugarcane for ethanol and biodiesel production) have on some people and their natural environments. The documentary was filmed in four regions of Central America.
The field research and visit, interviews and video shoots have been carried out in El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Guatemala by myself with the help of Sivlia Quiroa, the project coordinator for FOE International campaign against agrofuels. For more information about the environmental and social consequences of monoculture feedstock for agrofuels production in Latin America and elsewhere, please contact Friends of the earth El Salvador, and Friends of the Earth International.
Thank you. My role in the making of this short documentary was: scripting, filming, editing and sound design.
