Ukrainian Carpathians
Lake Synevyr
Synevyr is the largest mountain lake in Ukraine in terms of area, as well as the most famous lake in the Ukrainian Carpathians, located in the upper reaches of the Tereblya River. The area of its water surface is about 7 hectares.
Kamyanka waterfall
Geological monument of nature is rostashovan on the river Kam'yanka, 550 m above the sea level. The waterfall settled at the razloma of the Girsky ridge. It is not surprising, too, that a cascade of winding up mayzhe 7 m overflows with skeletal whistles on two main parts, - I turn up and down the bottom.
Brown Bear Rehabilitation Center
In April 2011, the Rehabilitation Center for Brown Bears, which covers an area of 12 hectares, was opened for the first time on the territory of NPP Synevyr. Animals that have been abused or held captive without appropriate conditions are protected. Work is also underway to reproduce the natural population (there are about 300 individuals in Ukraine) and deepen research on the largest predator in Ukraine.
Spruce
This powerful long-standing tree in folk beliefs is a symbol of happiness, eternal life and youth: “the kind spirit of smereka to harrow from the hardy negrozdivs” Smereka is a local variety of spruce in the Ukrainian Carpathians, growing at an altitude of 800 to 1600 above sea level. This coniferous species belongs to the pine family, but in terms of its characteristics and properties it is not the same as pine: The color of the Smereka wood is practically white and does not darken over time.
Winter Carpathians
Winter in the Carpathians is a fabulous period when the nature around looks especially majestic and festive. At this time, a lot of opportunities open up for the tourist. Dozens of ski resorts offer their services, and traditional festivities are organized in hotels and inns.
