The Star Ferry in Hong Kong

The Star Ferry is constantly moving people across Victoria Harbour between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon for the past 133 years. I have taken it many times, and each time it felt like a treat. No matter what the weather is, the views of the city are amazing. It’s also a cheap and pretty quick way to get across. The company operates two routes across the harbour with twelve ferries, carrying over 70,000 passengers per day.

There is a nostalgic feel to it. The wood finishes inside each ferry, sounds of the engines, fantastic ability for the operators to smoothly dock every time on each side of the Victoria Harbour. It’s one of many gems in the city that everyone should experience. Below are a few photographs were taken on and off the ferries:
