Ispired by apollo 11 journey to the moon i started to seach some references and came cross a ofical flickr of NASA. This flickr has a surreal amount of photos (over 15 thouseand) of all the apollo missons. I saved some of them in my computer and that photos inspired me to create these 3D renders.

This is the main reference of all the pictures that i saved. These photos of nasa they haven´t pass thru a image process of any kind. They are the original scanned film.

I tried to replicate the exactly light and the position of the moon 
from the original. 

Next is the 3D render photo that i created.

I also animated the scene just for the fun of it.
