THE "FORRA DEL LUPO" - PART 2
Starting from where we left off with the last project, here's the Forte Dosso del Sommo (1672 m), a military fort built between 1911 and 1914.
What you can see nowadays is actually a dilapidated structure due to the Italian bombing (I remind you that the fort was of the Austro-Hungarian army) during World War I.

It was originally divided into three separate blocks with a first section dedicated to accommodation and logistic services, and a 65-meter gallery connected it to a second block with armored domes and an observatory.

Also interesting: it was from this fort that the "Offensiva di primavera 1916" started, on 15 May (Battle of the Altipiani).

Ricominciando da dove eravamo rimasti con lo scorso progetto, ecco a voi il Forte Dosso del Sommo (1672 m), un forte militare costruito tra il 1911 e il 1914.
Quello che è possibile vedere al giorno d'oggi è in realtà una struttura fatiscente a causa dei bombardamenti italiani (vi ricordo che il forte era dell'esercito Austro-Ungarico) durante la Prima Guerra Mondiale.
In origine era diviso in tre blocchi separati con una prima sezione dedicata agli alloggi e ai servizi logistici, e una galleria di 65 metri la collegava a un secondo blocco dotato di cupole corazzate e di un osservatorio.

Infine, fu proprio da questo forte che partì l'Offensiva di primavera 1916, il 15 maggio (Battaglia degli Altipiani).
