Delirium
Architecture of the unfinish.
With the rapid urbanisastion in Singapore, Pulau Ubin, Singapore's last untouched island is on the verge of becoming the next victim for urbansation. Since the architecture typology of the western will only do harm to Singapore's heritage and culture which could be found on this very last island, the project aims to reinforced and augment the "Chalet", Singaporean-typology of hotel for gathering. The project make use of the deconstructivism theory , to distablise and question the preconceived method of urbanising.
First, it is important the question the method of use of Chalet.
Second, Chalet should describe its own history and not become a duplication of hotels.
Third, "unfinish" and "broken" architecture seek to be a framework for inhabitant to activiate fun and chaos
Last, the primary program is freedom. Event must be able to happen anywhere at anytime, including sleep.
