Three web-based Montages

I created three photo-montages based on montages I found floating around the internet. Each montage is my own take on the layout and subject matter that was represented in the montages I recreated. All of the images were edited and then compiled in Adobe Photoshop.
This image was based off a montage I found that displayed three images from a Mumford and Sons music video. Each of the individual images in the original montage were action shots that created a storyline. For my recreation of the montage I also wanted to utalize action shots. I chose to use the music video for the song "Do What You Want" by OK GO. I have always appreciated this music video because of  the creative use of the wallpaper pattern. The costume design and it's fun and funky plot are the reasons I chose this specific music video for recreation. I enjoyed translating the story into a static image.

This montage was based off of an image made up of an elephant's whole body, with subsecuent close ups of the animal's eye, tusk and foot. This powerful image of a tiger was the perfect subject for my recreation. The image I modeled this montage after also drew the eye in on the details of the photograph to highlight the elephant's soft demeanor. My recreating has the same effect because the large image gives the montage setting while each of the close ups hone the eye in on the intensity of the photograph.
I based this collage of images after a photo-montage I found that used many images to make up one whole picture. I used my own artistic liscence to take the idea of individual images that create one whole, and translated it to tree carvings. Pictured above is one image of a tree littered with carvings that was made by collaging six different images of tattooed tree trunks.
