Working in a team of 5 we were tasked with tackling the issue of Food Sovereignty in South Auckland. We were based at the Papatoetoe Food Hub and through local community engagement and the design thinking process, came up with a solution which we called Kāpui. We had found through our research that there were many community groups across Auckland which were struggling to tackle this major issue. Kāpui is a network made up of projects, businesses and local and council initiatives that aim to tackle food sovereignty. Seasonal meetings, as well as event days, will be held to gather like-minded groups. See the gallery below for a more in-depth discovery.
