My Graduation project for the company: Green House Egypt.
They specialize in hydroponics and gardening. The company sells non GMO seeds, fertilizers, equipment and more. Their designs needed a fresh visual identity. In this project, I created designs for their seeds, proposed including small jars as a gardening starter kit and designed a gardening journal for plant follows ups.
I created handmade illustrations that give the impression of gardening by basic symbols.
By tweaking, rotating and mirroring the drawings, interesting shapes were emerging.

Since there are a lot of greens, it was a challenge to differentiate each label. Sometimes the outline color is changed like cucumber seeds, as well as backgrounds on each sides. Colors are picked manually with CMYK mode in order to create slight but visible changes in green and can be offset printed.

Journal Design
Owning a gardening journal is essential especially as a beginner in the field. Recording the plant’s health, weather notes and soil condition helps predict and solve problems you can avoid in the future.
In hydroponics, it's important to record the concentration and type of nutrients added to the water tank, clean the system every couple of months and water the seedlings daily (in a separate place) to transfer later to the hydroponics system.
The journal contains indexes for important information: Each plant's needs for pH and ppm concentrations, tables for seedling seasons, daily checklists, calendars and more. All journals I found online were English only, so it helped me gather information to create an Arabic version.
There are multiple tables for recording the cleaning of the system, plant infections, growing seedlings and adding pesticides.
