How does Baudrillard Precession of Simulacra and Simulation prove that reality is driving itself towards becoming the simulation itself?

To visually explore the dissimulation of reality and the possibilities of reversing the traditional concept of simulacra, Nested World prototypes this argument into a hybrid between 2D animation and live video. In response to the Simulation and Simulacra, in our team understanding, simulacra is an image or representation of someone or something, and simulation is defined as the imitation of a situation or process.

We came up with the “Horror” concept for the video based on the idea of having the 2D world as the “real world” and the world we live in is just a simulation. The “Horror” concept is where a student goes to school on the weekend. Nobody is there at school he thinks he is haunted due to inexplicable events happening around him. Near the end, he draws a doodle of a butterfly on a piece of paper but it disappears when he stops drawing and looks at it. A butterfly is used in many types of media as a symbol of change and determination of different worlds/simulations. He then types something on the computer and leaves the desk. The camera will zoom out to reveal that his world was a simulation created by a 2D world (the real world).
The strange events that happen around him: weird noises in the elevator, water increases after he drinks it. (Filmed with GH4 camera)
Butterfly doodle done entirely in post-production: drawn and removed (scatter effect) by After Effects
