Inspired by his process of spending time in Japanese gas-station restaurants while working on the record and eating deep fried mackerel , we created a bento box LP and CD artwork. The physical copy recreates the effect of opening a lunchbox, with the inside being 3d rendered and then airbrushed over in photoshop. The vinyl stickers include only images of food, and no track names. They can be flipped around in the accompanying discobag to change which dish you want to view with the various table items.
For the music video of the lead track, we 'fed' over 10,000 images of sushi to a computer and trained it for over 20 hours until it was able to create surreal yet sometimes passingly realistic sushi. Combining this with various 3d and 2d animations we created a dream-like psychedelic visual to accompany what is a bizarre piece of music.
