These are concept art for a personal project I am working on. The character's name "Bushi" is a play on words, referring to how bushy his mask makes him appear. In making this character I was inspired by African tribal masks. I wanted to create a sense of ambiguity around the character's nature and the mask helps convey this by hiding his face. I enjoyed working on this piece, working on the poses and line work was the best part for me.
