Diseño UX inspirado en Museo Marco

Backgorund
Marco Museum is a contemporary art museum located in the center of the city of Monterrey. Marco seeks to organize and present contemporary art exhibitions always at a level of excellence, as well as related educational programs that promote the cultural enrichment of the general community. They offer a wide spectrum of competitive prices. Marco addresses clients such as tourists, art lovers, and families who enjoy spending their free time surrounded by the beauty that art can bring.

Problem
Museum visitors find it difficult to locate within the enclosure

Goal
Design a museum app that provides them with all the necessary information about the works and their exhibitions in order to achieve a successful museum tour

User research
I conducted interviews and created empathy maps to understand the users I am going to design for and their needs. A core user group was identified through the research, young adults who love art.

During the interviews with this group of users it was revealed that the purchase time and the lines if it is a factor that affects the user experience but not the main one, the biggest problem that the users of the framework museum encounter, is that it does not They tend to understand the signs to follow on a tour, as well as that they are not given complete information about the exhibitions and their locations, making it difficult for them to follow a tour easily.
Pain Points:
1. Orientation: Museum signs are not easy to understand
2. Accesibility: The museum platforms are not providing the necessary information
3. Time: A lot of time is wasted queuing and locating exhibits

Tamara is a Travel blogger who needs access to all the details about the works in a museum because she want to share all the details of her visit with her audience.
User Journey Map
Tamara's user tour mapping revealed how useful it would be for users to have access to a Marco Museum application with all the information useful for the tour
Wireframe
Taking the time to write iterations of each application screen on paper ensured that the elements that made it onto digital wireframes were adequate to address user pain points. It was sought that everything was within the user's reach and that it was easy to access
Low-Fidelity Prototype
Using the completed set of digital wireframes, I created a low-fidelity prototype. The prototype could be used in a usability study.

Usability Study
I conducted two rounds of usability studies. Findings from the first study helped guide the designs from wireframes to mockups. The second study used a high-fidelity prototype and revealed what aspects of the mockups needed refining.
Round 1 findings:
1. Museum signs are not easy to understand
2. The museum platforms are not providing the necessary information
3. A lot of time is wasted queuing and locating exhibits
Round 2 findings:
1. The button to start the tour is difficult for everyone to understand
2. It is not clear where the information on the works is accessed
3. Users need a more intuitive way to move through the pages

Mockup
More options have been added in the menu to make navigation through the application easier, as well as icons that give a visual contribution that serve as a reference to have a greater context about the function of that button
High-Fidelity Prototype
The final hi-fi prototype featured cleaner user flows for a museum tour. It also met the user's needs by giving them the option to buy their museum tickets in advance.
