Daily UI 017 - Email receipt

Amazon is by far the most popular online marketplace. In this Daily UI, idea was to make email receipt for a order receipt that could be sent to mail of the person who ordered from Amazon. I used brand colors in their relevant sections.

Daily UI 016 - Pop up/Overlay

Daily UI 015 - On/Off Switch

In this Daily UI, I tried to make switch unique. In this design I made the O of the ON filled and empty for OFF. I made this design choice because I wanted to make OFF feel like it is missing something, something and that is present in ON state.

Daily UI 014 - Countdown Timer

My first idea on countdown timer was to just make a simple countdown timer. There was no fun in that, it was no challenge! So I thought of another scenario where I could use countdown timer, and then this idea hit me. Smart appliances are increasing day by day, and microwave ovens are a great example of where we need count down timers. So here is my today's Daily UI. Idea was to make it simple and accessible.

Daily UI 013 - Direct Messaging

Most of us use at least one DM'ing tool. In this Daily UI I explored a productivity and time management tool, "ProTime". It is an app that merges Calendar, Mail, Chat, Tasks and Reports. Calendar for tracking projects, Mail for official communication, Chat for quick communication, Tasks to see assigned tasks and overall tasks of various users, and Reports to generate and submit daily reports. Out of this, this Daily Challenge focuses on Direct Messaging, that is Chat section of the app.

Daily UI 012 - E-Commerce Shop (Single Item)

I've been listening to XB-250 since a few days, and it is an excellent headphone. I love bass and I think this is a perfect headphone for me.

This Daily UI is based on a single product E-commerce, and I thought this would be a great opportunity to include the headphone in today's UI.

Daily UI 011 - Flash Message

These are our common flash messages on or mobile phones. The idea here was to do something simple yet effective. In my research I found out that flash messages are of two types, a "Did it" message and "On no" message. My approach here was to make it friendly, hence pastel colors, rounded buttons and a geometric sans serif typeface.

Daily UI 010 - Social Share

I interpreted it as a button on a website. Two of the most common sharing platforms are Facebook and Twitter. Another thing user might need is to copy the URL to share. So I connected the dots and made this. I also coded a live version of this on codepen, see it live here.

Daily UI 009 - Music Player

We all love music! It's a part of our daily life as an artist, freelancer, designer or developer. Today's DailyUI was to make a Music Player UI.

To bring this UI from paper to XD, I thought about all the players I've used so far. Out of them, I absolutely love Spotify, Google Play music, Windows Media Player, Groove Music, Dopamine by Digimezzo and Poweramp. I've drawn inspiration from most of these.

The idea behind this UI was to make it easier for user navigation. A small now playing bar at the bottom, and all the other menus behind it. I've used fontawesome icons and the font used is Source Sans Pro. I chose fontawesome icons because the round corners look very friendly, and I chose Source Sans Pro because it looked very easy to read.

Daily UI 008 - 404 Page

All 404's should be fun to view. At least that's what I think. I've seen companies use very creative ways to show 404 page, and the idea behind this Daily UI is that, what would it look like if Matrix had

Daily UI 007 - Settings

In all the settings app I've seen, there's generally a lot of text. but as of today we are lot more familiar with material design icons than before. So in this project, the idea was to make a settings app, but make it in such a way that there is no text and still user can understand what the setting is about.

Daily UI 006 - User Profile

Everybody I know uses Instagram. So I tried to build my own image sharing platform user profile, where user can not only share images, but also have a header-like image, designed for smartphones. As phones have vertical displays, hence the vertical header image.

Daily UI 005 - App Icon

I thought of this alternate version of logo because Google Fit, as it has these 2 progress bars when we open the app, and I thought it would be cool to represent them as app icon and also it would function as a progress bar even when the app is closed, similar to how clock an calendar update on Samsung smart phones and Apple iOS.

Daily UI 004 - Calculator

Minimal concept for calculator, working in both dark mode as well as bright mode. In this design I chose a mono-space font because I wanted to preserve the space each character takes on a button. So I chose Roboto Mono, it is very well clean and designed font by Google.

Daily UI 003 - Landing Page

A blue isometric landing page for an individual or a design studio. I chose blue because of blue looks very pleasing to the eye, while maintaining good contrast. Also because I wanted to challenge myself to make the landing page only in blue.
