Chess Branding

Chess is a trusted platform for white-collar workers for investing and borrowing money. It is not your average online eCommerce support. Chess is passionate to provide you all the facilities of a bank- manage investments and credits only through your device.

The Metaphor

We initiated our visual branding process by doing research on the brand's core characteristics and metaphors. Among the many attributes that Chess possesses, we explored various different options around the theme and concept. Finally, we decided to go with two metaphors. The Knight from the game of chess represents protection, and the Roman number two represents two parties of investors and borrowers.

Symbol Construction

While constructing the Chess symbol, we figured that the golden ratio can help build an aesthetic and well-balanced shape. The ombré shade of blue was used to give a perfect finishing touch to the symbol.

Typography Research

To give the brand visual a balanced and comfortable appearance, we used Gilroy bold typeface, a geometric sans typeface that you can never go wrong with when it comes to topography details.

Finalizing the Logo

Selecting the perfect measurement using scales and grids, our picky design team double and triple-checked the logo to ensure that it is well-grounded.
