The Koral poll app is a community of like-minded Indians who have come together to help each other with their questions, and opinions in their preferred language — English, Hindi, Bengali, Oriya, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati and Marathi — via quick polls and discussions

Usability testing

Performed a usability testing remotely with the help of screen recording app and think-aloud protocol. Chosen 5 users who were 3 male and 2 female under age range 21 to 35.

Created six tasks for understanding how the user perceives.

1. Open Koral app and register yourself.

2. How you earn kramas and what you understand about them?

3. Create a poll?

4. Create a new poll choosing different poll option?

5. What are your likes and dislikes?

6. What are the improvements you think can help you?

User insights

1. Users were unclear about karma points usage. Will I get some money from it?

2. For the first time which question I need to ask, a lot of cognitive load for the user.

3. Creating a poll is interesting but it taking too much time and effort.

4. The user was not able to understand communities. why I am choosing and asking those communities.

5. As soon as the user previews the poll, he is looking for an action to share with friends.

6. Users were looking for edit and delete polls.

Concept

Initial thoughts on concept generation. Is it possible to create an interface where, the user sees what he gets after creating a poll?

And also communicating about the goals he needs to do in achieving karmas and their benefits.

The important question came into my mind, all our journeys depend on the choices/decisions we make.

So, Identifying the prominent decision-making journeys and asking (educating by telling a story) them as polls to users can increase digital footprint.
