It is by the roots that a being’s essence is implanted and its resilience is strengthened. To date, the concept of biophilia has been casually viewed as one’s undetachable love towards the natural world, but what is often disregarded to mention is the powerful sense of belonging it results in one’s life. It is through biophilia that a person becomes more attached to his/her roots, and it is through the roots, that one seeks to learn more about the land. The roots are inevitable; they absorb, initiate, and anchor the living. An idea is a root, and this book is the ideology that initiates and anchors people’s symbiotic relationship with nature.
